A Girl's Trip to Toronto: what we did on our Canadian getaway

It was a weekend filled with runnin' through the 6 with my chicks. My friends and I travelled to Toronto to celebrate Krista of the Krista Chain Tank's 26th Birthday. What did we do in the city of Drake (who we almost ran into btw) ? Lot's of shopping, eating and exploring the city, as much as the weather permitted us to explore at least. Read on to hear about what we did, where we went and how we dressed on our Canadian getaway!

1. Shopping: Eaton Centre and Yorkdale Shopping Centre are must see, beautiful malls filled with every store you can imagine! While at Yorkdale, make sure to grab a drink and some food at Joey Yorkdale.

The interior is a perfect mix of industrial and modern, the staff is super friendly and the veggie burger I ate hit the spot! In these malls you will find a range of stores from moderate to high price, so you can definitely do some damage.

For more boutique, unique to Toronto shopping check out Queen street. TSOQ is a fun, boho/eclectic store filled with feminine, edgy clothing. Also check out M boutique and Oak + Fort for affordable, chic fashions.

2. Food: You will not go hungry in Toronto! Every meal we ate was spectacular. Because we are Drake loving ladies, we ate at his new restaurant Pick 6ix which had a cool, clubby vibe. I don't know what I loved more about it; the music, blue velvet seating or the sushi!

Another dinner spot you HAVE to experience is Sotto Sotto. It is a quaint Italian restaurant often visited by celebrities. The walls are filled with their famous diners which was fascinating to look at. Drake was even supposed to be there when we went but canceled his reservation, we were very sad!

Aside from the celebrities, the food was out of this world. The scallops, octopus and shrimp were some of the best seafood I have ever had. And don't even get me started on their gluten free chocolate mousse cake!

For brunch, you must check out Early Bird Caffe. I enjoyed the best Iced Vanilla Latte and Avocado Toast I have ever had. Not to mention, the interior was very instagramable - we took many selfies here.

3. Nightlife: The first night we went to a bar called Death and Taxes which was a great locals spot. I love when smaller bars have a DJ for when I want to dance, which we did all night! The second night we went to more of a clubby lounge called Libertine. It was a cool space and the music was great, I will definitely go back.

4.Things to Do: We were on a mission to find Nemo so we went to Ripley's Aquarium of Canada. It was a beautiful exhibit and an overall fun thing to do on Sunday before we headed back to the states. I didn't make it to any of their art museums but the next time I go back I would like to visit the Koffler gallery.
