Organizing Your Home

To be honest—creating an organized, functional space isn’t exactly my natural talent. That’s why I’ve watched endless hours of The Home Edit to help me transform my home into a haven of organization. I’m completely obsessed with living clean and beautifully, finding my greatest sense of peace when my home feels pristine—almost as if it’s untouched.

These days, with most of us working from home, keeping things organized is non-negotiable. A clutter-free space isn’t just about looks (though, hello, aesthetic); it’s about mental clarity, boosting your productivity, and making life feel a little more luxe. Plus, when your home is dialed in, you save time, stress less, and actually enjoy being in your space.

Now, if your home is a bit of a mess, don’t worry—I’m not here to judge! Instead, I want to inspire you to create a space that feels serene, functional, and uniquely yours. Keep reading for my favorite tips and tools to help you elevate your home organization game.

1. Organize your kitchen

Nothing bothers me more than opening a kitchen cabinet and seeing the pots and pans in disarray or a fridge so overwhelmed with food that you don't even know what you have in there. Here are my tips for creating and maintaining an organized kitchen:

  • Use a pot and pan organizer inside your cabinet to neatly store your pots and pans. I linked a few in the edit below. I use them personally seen in the image above, and they keep my pots and pans cabinet permanently neat.
  • DO NOT keep all and unnecessary small appliances and items exposed on the counter. Only use your air fryer once in a while? Store it in a closet! Have ten cook books? Put them away! Let your counters breathe!
  • Use drawer dividers for utensils and other small items. One lesson I took away from watching the home edit is that items should be contained in order to stay organized.
  • Use clear or metal storage bins inside your pantry and organize items by category. For example, in my pantry, I have all the nuts in one bin that I use to make nut milk, all the rice in another,  Oats and Quinoa together, etc.
  • Use clear glass storage containers and mason jars for food stored in the fridge.

2. Organize your clothing closet

The closet is a tough one, especially for me since I am a fashion designer, stylist, and shopping enthusiast. Here are the tips I have for making the most of our closet spaces:

  • Use velvet hangers. They are non-slip and slim, which saves us space. I can't deal with any other type of hanger.
  • Use shelf dividers to separate stacks of clothing or handbags. I use these for my handbags, and they work great! Speaking of handbags, a reminder that genuine leather handbags CANNOT be stored in the box as it will dry out the leather.
  • In my opinion, organizing clothing by color works best. This is most likely because when putting clothes away, you can easily identify where the garment belongs so the organization stays intact. I also find it really easy to pull from.
  • Clean out the closet and donate clothing on a quarterly basis.
  • Use drawer organizers for things like socks, underwear and bras.
  • If you are like me and have a million pairs of sunglasses (because I am a celebrity, obviously), grab the sunglass organizer I linked. You will never lose a pair again.
  • The same goes for jewelry; I love the jewelry box and tray that I linked. They have been a game changer for the organization of my jewels.

3. Organize your bathroom

Bathrooms are important to keep super clean and organized. A shower wouldn't be relaxing to me, if the shower is cluttered with 15 bottles of different products. Here are my tips:

  • Don't place products on the floor of the shower. If there is nowhere to properly place them, use a shower caddy.
  • Limit the amount of products you store in the shower. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razor, and shaving cream. Any additional products should be stored in a drawer and brought in and out with you to avoid clutter.
  • Use drawer organizers for skincare, makeup, and hair tools. Store these items in drawers. I'm okay with keeping your body lotion and daily cleanser exposed, but everything else should be stored away.

4. Organize your living room

Table linens are the finishing touch that can elevate any meal from ordinary to extraordinary. They not only protect your table but also set the mood for your dining experience, whether it's a casual family dinner or a formal gathering.

Types of table linens to consider:

  • Tablecloths: Offer full coverage and dramatic impact
  • Table runners: Provide a decorative strip down the center of the table
  • Placemats: Protect the table while defining individual place settings
  • Napkins: Essential for both practical use and aesthetic appeal

5. Organize your garage

I don't have a garage yet as I live in a condo, but I am manifesting one for 2026. I have seen a lot of garage organization as my dad is obsessed with his man space, and here are my takeaways:

  • Utilize pegboards and hooks to organize tools and equipment. My dad loves organizing his tools!
  • Use clear bins for your storage needs so you can see what is inside of them, and make sure to label the bins.
  • If you have room, use a heavy-duty shelving system to organize your bins.

Enjoy Your Happy Home

Beyond all these tools and tips, consistency is key when it comes to maintaining an organized home. Don’t let it feel overwhelming—set aside just 10–15 minutes a day to tidy up and put things back where they belong. Once a month, dedicate a few hours (I suggest a Saturday morning) for a deep declutter session. Personally, I love to throw on a good podcast or playlist while I clean and organize—it makes the time fly by and the process feel surprisingly satisfying!

Every quarter, take it up a notch by donating clothes or items you no longer need or use. Trust me, the energy you put into your home will reflect back in your life, creating a space that feels calm, functional, and beyond gorgeous. Put in the effort, and watch how it transforms not just your home, but your entire vibe.

Sending beauty and organizational bins,

Bri
