Fall in "Louvre" with Paris

Paris, the city of love and fashion, offers an endless array of hidden gems and iconic spots waiting to be explored. Whether you're dreaming of strolling through vintage shops, discovering chic department stores, savoring the ambiance of cozy cafes, or unwinding in luxurious spas, Paris has it all. In this guide, inspired by the glamour and charm of Emily in Paris, I’ll reveal my favorite spots that every fashion lover should visit. From boutique hotels to the best-kept secrets of Parisian shopping, get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of Paris.

1. Boutique Hotels

Both interior design and fashion design have an enormous influence on the city of Paris, making it a haven for those who love aesthetics. From chic fashion boutiques to artfully designed spaces, pretty things are everywhere you look. When visiting Paris, I prefer to stay in boutique hotels over well-known chain hotels because these smaller accommodations often feature interiors by celebrated designers, offering a truly unique experience. Here are my top recommendations for boutique hotels in Paris , some of which I've stayed at, while others are on my must-visit list:

  1. La Fantaisie : Designed by renowned Swedish interior designer Martin Brudnizki , this hotel is feminine, whimsical, and feels like a real-life fairy tale. There's even a garden! I loved staying at this visual dream during my first trip to Paris.

  2. Hôtel Bienvenue : This charming hotel is adorned with antique floral patterns, providing a cozy and affordable stay in a trendy neighborhood. It's perfect for travelers seeking a quaint and stylish retreat.

  3. Brach Paris : I plan to stay at this ultra-sexy hotel on my next visit. The interior design exudes masculine sophistication, with carefully curated art taking center stage in the decor.

  4. Hotel Lancaster : A Parisian townhouse that has been a favorite among travelers worldwide since 1952. Its lavish decor, combined with a contemporary touch, offers an authentic modern-day Paris experience. I can't wait to stay there someday!

2. Spas & Skincare

No Emily in Paris -inspired trip is complete without indulging in some luxurious pampering at a Parisian spa . In my opinion, the Dior Spa is the ultimate destination for relaxation and rejuvenation in Paris. From the moment you step inside, you are immersed in the elegance of the Dior brand . On my first visit to Paris, I experienced the Micro-Abrasion Facial , which left my skin feeling soft and glowing throughout my entire trip. After my treatment, I enjoyed a beautifully served matcha latte—an absolute dream for any fashion lover visiting Paris!

Another must-visit spa is Biologique Recherche . Known for its gentle yet effective skincare products, this spa uses advanced technology to analyze and treat your skin according to its unique needs.

When it comes to skincare stores, while French pharmacies are renowned for their offerings, I have a special preference for a boutique called AWESOME Green & Clean Beauty . This carefully curated shop offers natural and certified organic products that prioritize skin health. The very kind owner introduced me to Le Pure, which is the only skincare brand that doesn't irritate my rosacea. Using clean products is far better for your skin than harsh, chemical-laden alternatives. Every time I visit Paris, I will make it a point to return to this store for more clean beauty goodies!

3. Fashion Exhibits

One of my favorite things to do in Paris , besides shopping, is visiting the museums of iconic French fashion houses . These museums offer a fascinating insight into the history and artistry of the world’s most renowned fashion brands. The first time I went to Paris, I visited LV DREAM by Louis Vuitton , an immersive exhibit that takes you through the history of the Louis Vuitton brand , showcasing notable brand collaborations over the years. The experience ends with a charming café and chocolate shop, where I picked up some adorable Louis Vuitton chocolates that made perfect holiday gifts.

During that trip, I also visited the Musée Yves Saint Laurent , which provides an incredible journey through the creative process of the legendary designer Yves Saint Laurent . I discovered a lot about his design influences over the years, which continue to resonate in the brand’s collections today. The museum features stunning archive pieces and even the very desk he worked on!

On my latest trip to Paris, I explored La Galerie Dior , which has become my favorite fashion exhibit, although it’s hard to choose just one. This exhibit delves into Christian Dior’s upbringing , highlighting his love for flowers and plants, which is evident in his designs. The museum showcases breathtaking archive pieces, including his desk, first salon room, and even live jewelry-making demonstrations. The experience concludes at a café and gift shop, where you can enjoy delicious food, chocolates, and other goodies.

All three exhibits— LV DREAM by Louis Vuitton , Musée Yves Saint Laurent , and La Galerie Dior —are must-see attractions when visiting Paris for anyone passionate about fashion history and design.

4. Shopping

If there's one thing you learn from Emily in Paris, it's that Paris is the most stylish city in the world. Shopping in Paris is a fashion lover's dream, offering an unparalleled experience with its chic boutiques and iconic fashion houses. As a premier shopping destination , Paris is probably my favorite place to shop in the world. Here are some must-visit stores you don't want to miss during your Paris shopping spree:

  • Galleries Lafayette: The most famous department store in Paris, the architecture is as beautiful as the items for sale. Both locations are worth seeing.
  • Opulence Vintage, Valois Vintage, and Old Fashioned Club are all great places to source vintage Chanel jewelry and other retro designer pieces!
  • La Samaritaine: a large department store in Paris owned by LVMH. It is huge, I loved walking around it.
  • The Frankie Shop: I really enjoy the aesthetic of this fashion line.
  • Kith Paris: This Kith location is truly a visual work of art and a must visit when in Paris.
  • Modes Paris: Near Paco Rabanne in Champs Elysse, this edgy street and ready to wear store carries a super cool edit of clothing.
  • And of course, all of the luxury brands have at least one store here. I particularly love visiting Jacquemus, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Fendi, Miu Miu, and Paco Rabanne.

5. Cute Cafes & Casual Food

No trip to Paris is complete without visiting a charming, Instagram-worthy café—and of course, indulging in some authentic French fries. French fries are my all-time favorite food, and trust me, they taste even better in France. If you're looking for adorable cafés that will elevate your Paris experience, here are my top recommendations:

  1. Bon Bouquet Café : During one of my morning strolls, I stumbled upon this chic, casual café and eatery. Its pink and green aesthetic is a feminine dream come true, making it the perfect spot for your Instagram feed. The menu is packed with healthy and delicious options, and I highly recommend their acai bowl and matcha latte for breakfast.

  2. 48 Collagen Café : This quaint café is like a dream come true for wellness enthusiasts. Not only can you enjoy collagen-infused drinks and bites (a must for anyone into collagen supplementation, like me), but you can also indulge in red light therapy while you relax. I never imagined a café that combines two of my favorite things—collagen and cozy vibes—but 48 Collagen Café makes it a reality.

  3. Lou Lou Restaurant : Lou Lou is at the top of my list for my next Paris trip. I discovered this gem on Instagram, and I was instantly drawn to its tropical-inspired atmosphere, gluten-free menu options, and, of course, their irresistible French fries!

  4. Pink Mamma : Another Instagram find, Pink Mamma, is a rustic garden dream that I can't wait to visit. The interior is absolutely stunning, and the menu boasts homemade Italian dishes that have me sold on making this a must-visit spot.

Even though I have only had two short trips to Paris thus far, it is safe to say it is one of my favorite cities in the world. It is a magical, beautiful, historical city filled with love and fashion, and I hope you get to travel there someday!

Sending love,
